Safety and health at work (ESENER)

The European survey of enterprises on new and emerging risks (ESENER), published by the European agency for safety and health at work, is a vast study which examines the way in which the risks relating to health and safety are managed by European enterprises. The first was published in 2009, and the second five years later, in 2014 .

The collected data on thousands of enterprises can be viewed through an interactive visualisation, where you can examine the magnitude of each risk (heavy weights, repetitive movement, use of unsafe machinery, contact with chemical substances), by country, sector of activity, or size of enterprise. The agency pays particular attention in this report to new psychosocial risks (harassment, violence, stress management) and also, in the second report, the participation of workers in decision-making.
