Gender gap in the ICT sector

A recent research conducted by the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE), “Women and men in ICT”, shows how much the gap is widening between women and men regarding employment in the ICT sector. Whereas employment growth in ICT is more than eight times higher than the average employment growth in the EU, only 17% of the almost 8 million specialists are women.
