World Cartel Report

Morgan Lewis publishes an annual survey on corporate cartels (secret agreements among companies to influence prices on a specific market) and the sanctions imposed on them or not by regulators.

In 2018, two record fines were imposed: $34.6 million on a cable manufacturer in Australia and $19.6 million on chicken farmers in Singapore. However, global data show a significant decline in sanctions imposed compared to 2017. Because of less use of cartels by companies or more passive regulators? This remains to be defined.

This report also contains maps and is a very complete source on the subject.
