Tourist accommodation (Inside AirBnB)

Data drawn from the AirBnB website on tourist accommodation in major cities and destinations

Private rentals of rooms and flats are deeply changing the tourism and housing markets, especially in the big cities: accurate data are critical to monitor and debate the ongoing developments. Inside AirBnB is an independent project sourcing and aggregating data publicly available on the AirBnB website.

The collected information is easy to find and download, and a number of useful tools and filters are offered; the data are made available under a public domain license. As for the limits, the data are updated only a few times per year and focus on a limited set of cities and tourist hotspots - even if they include major, significant ones.
