Housing market (OECD)

Launched in 2017, the OECD’s affordable housing database compiles all the pertinent data for an analysis of developments in housing markets across Europe (as well as Canada, the United States and Mexico). The database now includes twenty indicators, divided under three rubrics: the housing market context (quantity of housing available, duration of tenures), living conditions (affordability and quality of housing) and the public policies for affordable housing (public spending on social housing, housing allowances, etc.).

All of the data is available to download in Excel format, while some can also be viewed in an interactive map. The institution aims to “help countries monitor access to good-quality affordable housing and strengthen the knowledge base for policy evaluation”.
