Pesticide use remains widespread in the EU
Analysis of the evolution of sales, use and impact of pesticides in the EU, following the various changes in European legislation.
Methodology
This article investigates the evolution of the European Union's mission to reduce pesticide use within its territory, evaluating the goals and attempts at promoting sustainable practices in comparison with the current results. The dataset consists of a combination of data previously collected by several bodies, such as the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), Eurostat, the Official Journal of the European Union, the Pesticide Action Network International, and the European Environment Agency.
