OpenAQ is a real-time and historical air quality open-source platform, aggregating government-measured and research-grade data.
OpenAQ's mission is to fight air inequality by opening up air quality data and connecting a diverse global, grassroots community of individuals and organizations. The broad vision of OpenAQ is to empower communities to end air inequality, and its mission is to enable science, impact policy and empower the public to fight air pollution through open data, open-source tools and cooperation.
OpenAQ is currently collecting data in 92 different countries by aggregating information on levels of PM2.5, PM10, ozone (O3), sulfur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), carbon monoxide (CO), and black carbon (BC) in the air, collected from real-time government and research grade sources.
Data can be navigated by selecting a specific location and downloading the related datasets (in .csv format), through the Open AQ Platform API, or by visualizing them on a world map. Data is licensed under CC-By 4.0.
