Killed on the roads

The number of road deaths continues to rise. In 2016, this figure reached 1.35 million deaths.

The United Nations, through the sustainable development program for 2030, aims to halve the number of deaths and injuries on the roads. A target set for the year 2020. An important target for road traffic fatalities. This is an important awareness raiser, as at the global level it is still the leading cause of death for 15-29 year old’s. The World Health Organization annually produces the "Global Status Report on Road Safety."

This global road safety report is a global assessment of the situation in 178 countries with data from a standardized survey. Initial results show that road accidents remain a major public health problem, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. A tool for many countries in terms of laws on this issue.
