Unemployment is growing in Iceland, while declining in the EU

The unemployment rate was 2.8 percent in Iceland in May, compared to 2.6 percent in May 2017, while in the same period the unemployment in the European Union has decreased from 7.7 percent to 7.0 percent.

This means that Iceland has seen a less positive development than the EU: in May 2017 the unemployment rate was 5.1 percent lower in Iceland than in the EU, now it is 4.2 percent units lower.
