Unemployment is declining more in Cyprus than in the EU

The unemployment rate was 9.1 percent in Cyprus in March 2018, compared to 12.3 percent in March 2017, while in the same period unemployment in the European Union has decreased from 7.9 to 7.1 percent.

This means that Cyprus has seen a more positive development than the rest of the European Union: in March 2017 the unemployment rate was 4.4 percent units higher in Cyprus than in the EU, now it is 2 percent higher.
