The confidence of retail businesses is increasing in Bulgaria while decreasing in the EU

In July the confidence of retail businesses in Bulgaria increased slightly compared to the same month last year. 

In July the confidence of retail businesses in Bulgaria increased slightly compared to the same month last year, up from 18.8 to 20.7.

In the same time, EU countries retail businesses confidence have decreased somewhat, down from 2.3 to -1.6 on average. This is the lowest recorded level since November 2014.

Bulgaria now has the second highest confidence of retail businesses in the EU compared to the other 28 countries. Malta has the highest confidence of retail businesses (27.8 points), while Austria ranks last (-18.3 points).
