The confidence of industrial businesses is increasing in Lithuania while decreasing in the EU

In October 2018 the confidence of industrial businesses in Lithuania increased slightly compared to the same month last year, up from -2.3 to -1.1 points.

In the same period of time, the confidence of industrial businesses in the EU has decreased considerably, down from 8.1 to 3 points on average. This is the lowest recorded level since March 2017.

Lithuania now has the eighth lowest confidence of industrial businesses in the EU. Sweden has the highest confidence (14.9 points), while Malta ranks last (-8.8 points).
