The confidence of industrial businesses is decreasing more rapidly in Finland than in the EU

In February 2019 the confidence of industrial businesses in Finland decreased significantly compared to the same month last year, down from 14.1 to -1.9 points.

In the same period of time, industrial businesses' confidence has decreased in the EU as a whole, down from 8 to -0.2 points on average. This is the lowest recorded level since October 2016.

Finland now has the ninth lowest confidence of industrial businesses in the EU. Ireland has the highest confidence of industrial businesses (19.4 points), while Luxembourg ranks last (-12.2 points).
