The confidence of consumers is decreasing more rapidly in France than in the EU

In November the confidence of consumers in France decreased significantly compared to the same month last year, down from -3.4 to -17.2.

In the same time, EU countries consumers confidence have decreased somewhat, down from -0.7 to -3.7 on average. This is the lowest recorded level since March 2017.

France now has the fourth lowest confidence of consumers in the EU compared to the other 28 countries. Malta has the highest confidence of consumers (22.7 points), while Greece ranks last (-35.8 points).
