Male unemployment is declining more in Ireland than in the EU

The unemployment rate among men was 5.1 percent in Ireland in June 2018, compared to 6.5 percent in December 2017. In the same period, male unemployment in the European Union has decreased from 7.0 percent to 6.7 percent.

This means that Ireland has seen a more positive development than the EU: in December the unemployment rate among men was 0.5 percent units lower in Ireland than in the European Union, now it is 1.6 percent units lower.
