Female unemployment is declining more in the Netherlands than in the EU

The unemployment rate among women was 4.0 percent in the Netherlands in May 2018, compared to 5.6 percent in May 2017, while in the same period unemployment among women in the EU has decreased from 8.0 to 7.3 percent.

This means that the Netherlands has seen a more positive development than the rest of the European Union: in May 2017 the female unemployment rate was 2.4 percent units lower in the Netherlands than in the EU, now it is 3.3 percent lower.
