Four out of the world's five largest banks are Chinese.
Since the crisis, the size of the world's 10 largest banks has grown less rapidly than global wealth, but the largest bank is now larger than the 2008 leader ($4,006 billion in assets for the Industrial & Commercial Bank of China in 2017 compared to $3,515 billion for the Royal Bank of Scotland in 2008).
