EUfactcheck is an initiative developed by the European Journalism Training Association, bringing together more than twenty European journalism schools.
A project set up by the European Journalism Training Association, EUfactcheck brings together brilliant journalism students from more than twenty European journalism schools. The initiative aims at fostering fact-based transnational debates on European political issues, giving particular attention to those which are relevant for the upcoming 2019 European elections.
The initiative is transnational, involving many students from several different countries. The project was born in an educational setting – it is crucial to improve will-be journalists’ attention to facts and data.
EUfactcheck adheres to the International Fact-Checking Network’s code of principles, making its work open, transparent and non-partisan. The fact-checks are clear and come with a thorough analysis of statements and references to European data and legislative frameworks. Moreover, readers can suggest issues or statements to be fact-checked.
