The unemployment rate is declining more in Spain than in the EU

The unemployment rate was 14.3 percent in Spain in December, compared to 16.5 percent in December 2017.

This means that Spain has seen a more positive development than the rest of the European Union.

In December 2017 the unemployment rate was 9.3 percent units higher in Spain than in the European Union, now it is only 7.7 percent units higher.

The unemployment rate in the European Union has decreased from 7.2 percent to 6.6 percent.
