The confidence in the economy is decreasing more rapidly in Finland than in the EU

In October 2018 the Finns' confidence in the economy decreased considerably compared to the same month last year, down from 111.9 to 105.3 points.

In the same period of time, EU countries' economic confidence has decreased somewhat, down from 113.5 to 110.4 points on average. This is the lowest recorded level since May 2017.

Finland now has the seventh lowest confidence in the economy in the EU compared to the other 27 countries. Hungary has the highest confidence in the economy (120.4 points), while Slovakia ranks last (98.9 points).
